  • Headphones for Classroom Learning

    Thank you so much for the headphones!

    Because of your contribution, students are able to listen and engage using various auditory resources. Students are able to work more effectively, on their own specific tasks, but in the same physical space.

    I have had students who needed to go back to previously recorded lessons because of absences, students who needed to listen to supplemental videos to improve their own understanding and students who wanted to listen and read along with novels. All of this has been done simultaneously, without distracting classmates or being forced to work at the pace as their classmates. Students are less distracted by one another and able to focus on their own individual progress through the use of headphones.

    This classroom project was brought to life by 3MGives.
This year, I will be teaching and facilitating the learning of up to 28 students, in a class. Each student will, at various points throughout the day, be receiving lessons and instructions from individual laptops. Students will use the headphones during their learning from devices. To reduce sound interference, from the various types of instruction, lessons and pacing, headphones are essential. Having headphones will allow each student to focus on the lesson and at their own pace, as opposed to being distracted by the sounds coming from the classroom or even another classmate's or teachers' devices.

About my class
