Higher Level Readers Need Higher Leveled Books!

Thank you so much for your donations! My students are revved up for reading these books and having some read aloud to them. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated. I wish you could have seen the look on their faces when I told them that some wonderful people donated books to them! The expressions on their faces were priceless! Getting higher level books is always such a challenge for any public school. Thank you for allowing me, or I should say, my students to read the classics!!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Townsend Press and 6 other donors.

Most of my students' families are economically challenged and do not have books at home or can not read themselves. Therefore, my students are not being read to at home. I feel it is the school's responsibility to provide our students with this exposure. My students love hearing me read stories and I love reading to them. However, I find myself wishing I had some of the books I am requesting to read to them. Most of the books I read to them, they try to read on their own. What a great feeling this is for me!
