My students are young children with developmental delays. These delays include mental and physical delays, delays in communication and social/emotional delays. The materials I have included will aid in their journey toward reaching goals in these areas. My students often require movement and exercise to strengthen weak muscles and/or provide sensory input. Items like wobble seats, spin discs, weighted pencils, etc. will help to strengthen core muscles and improve gross and fine motor skills. These special children often require help controlling their emotions and dealing with the frustrations of daily life. Items like compression vests and "fidgets" help to regulate emotions, making it possible for them to successfully navigate the school environment. My students are special children who require special tools to help them meet their diverse needs. Please help me better equip my classroom to meet these needs!
