Coding, STEAM, and robotics have quickly become integral parts of 21st century education. Schools are working hard to integrate technology into the classroom and curriculum, but it can be expensive. Ozobots are a cost effective way to build confidence in technology, as well as develop logical thinking skills. By using Ozobots to code their way through different content areas, students will engage in critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration, all while increasing their resilience and grit. Ozobots encourage children to play and create while building a strong community of computer scientists. Their easy-to-understand, color-based coding language makes Ozobots accessible to students of all abilities, including English Language Learners. Students will collaborate with each other to reinforce their ability to analyze, reason, and communicate their ideas effectively - all skills that will help them succeed in their educational careers. In the First grade classroom, students can use these robots to show sequencing in reading, use number lines in math, show life cycles in science, or practice the cardinal directions in geography. These are just a few of the unlimited lessons that can be taught or reinforced with Ozobots. Ozobots are a vital program for students to learn and understand the new technology and programming of the 21st century.
