• The Power Of Reading

  Thank you for your generous donations. Thank you for keeping our kids motivated during these difficult times. These books are books that the kiddos enjoy reading. Thank you for supplying the with books they can see themselves in. Books they can maybe inspire them or see themselves in. It is very important for children to see their lives and the lives of others reflected in the literature they read. These books will teach our students about empathy and equality . • Holiday Snacks

  Thank you for supportIng my students and I with this project. The students loved their snacks. They were pleasantly surprised with the snacks they received. The candy was removed from the packages and put in small individual candy bags. They were really surprised to have received chips with their winter package. We are beyond excited about the treats but most of all to have donors like you. Thank you for supporting our classroom method of encouraging students to make school sweet. During this time, it may not seem like a lot but seeing some of our favorite goodies gifted meant a lot to us.”

• With The Help Of Mice

  The wireless mice that you helped purchase will be an amazing tool for my students to use when completing their work. They were so excited when I told them they would be included in their winter pickup bag. We use many computer programs because of remote instruction , which requires the students to manipulate and move things around on the computer. Using a wireless mouse rather than a track pad will be so much easier for the students.

  They were so excited they would never have imagined someone giving them a mouse. They were in awe of the technology. They were surprised to find out you just insert a usb to their computer and it works. The mouses even included the battery needed to function.Thank you to all of you who helped with this project. It may not seem like much to you, but to us you are making a tremendous difference.”

• Seeing Themselves in Text

  Thank you for your help and support. Thanks to you, my class now has access to various types of books. They will be able to check out books from me so they can have access to them from home. Books are one of the best ways to teach children about the importance of race, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Today I did a read aloud on "Those Shoes," the kids loved it. They were able to relate to a boy who wanted expensive shoes and his mother couldn't afford it. Having books like these makes the next generation of people kind hearted individuals. We are really thankful for your support.”

• Cancelling Noise

  Funded Nov 17, 2020

  Thank you for your donations. These headphones will transform our Google Meet lessons. I just started using them today and this tool has already made a great change during our distance learning. The sound is really clear and it muffles all the noise around me. Even if no one is talking it eliminates all the construction noises from outside my classroom door. My students will now be able to hear me clearly , and I'm also able to block all the noise that surrounds me. It has a noise cancelling setting which will come in handy. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with the latest technology. Thank you so much for your support. It means a lot to me!”

• Conquering the Multicultural Divide

  Thank you so much for your donations. This project will ease the technology burden covid has created. With this iPad, my students would be getting access to technology they wouldn't normally be exposed to. The use of this technology will also strengthen my teaching and make me more aware of the hardships that face the community around me. My students were so excited when I showed them the new Ipad we will be using for fluency practice. For now, it will be used to present powerpoints and give me access to them everywhere I go. I really appreciate all the support from you. If it wasn't for donors like you important projects like this couldn't be possible.”

• Brighten Someone's Day!

  Thank you guys sooo much for always supporting me. The kiddos loved receiving their gifts and prizes. They were so excited to receive them. My students aren't used being able to decide what items they want to buy so some had a hard time. It is rare to let kids pick their prizes. The students that choose amazon gift cards had the choice of picking out their prize and having me ship it to their house. Some wanted to pick gifts for their younger siblings. I would not be able to make this happen if it wasn't for donors like you. During these difficult times the slightest sight of joy makes it all worth it. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you very much. We are one happy class.”

• Be the Motivation They Need!

  Thank you so much for rewarding my students for their amazing work. These prizes brought so much joy to their faces. Some students were able to pick them up in person, others were mailed. There was a particular student who had not been to Starbucks since their mom left them and he told me "it brought back so many memories". He was able to share his prize with his brother. Other students had never received anything in the mail so it was exciting for them to receive packages. You will never know the amount of impact you have made in their lives. Thank you again for everything you do!”
