Having sensory integrated equipment and activities such as the Kinetic Sand or Freddy's Fidget Toys will give my students the sensory input they need. These tools will be incorporated in my students' sensory diet. Sensory diets allow my students to be more successful in their own natural environment. With a more integrated sensory diet, my students needs can be met. These activities my improve students' behavior, keep them focused and can lower anxiety in the classroom. In school, they will have access to equipment and sensory oriented activities to help reach their hypersensitivity or under-sensivity needs. Some students may need tools to help "get their wiggles" out. Some may need a fidget tool to redirect their energy for when stationary work is being done. Other students may need tools to help increase their energy level.
