My goal is too teach the students with disabilities so that they can have a chance at a bright future just like everyone does. Everyday, I work with different types of kids that have a wide range of disabilities. Some of them are as follows: Autism, developmental delay, emotional disturbance, speech or language impairment, health impairments and much more. Working with these kids has been a very unique experience and my job has turned into a passion. I have learned a lot because of these students and I strive to make my classroom a safe, enjoyable, calming, and interactive environment. My classroom is a place that helps with all of the needs said and much more. On the contrary, my classroom is not that place right now. I designed it to where I could do as much as possible to meet their needs and wants. This is my second year at this job. I have impacted the life of many of my students. For example, I had a job at a school program PALS. I worked with special kids at this job. One of them was a girl that had many learning disabilities. She refused to work with anyone else besides me. I worked hard to help her trust others just like she trusted me. I used all my skills and eventually she came to work, trust, and laugh with other people. I am very thankful for her because she was the start to my path on becoming a behavioral teacher. She sparked my passion on this wonderful adventure.
