I teach high school living sciences in Newark, New Jersey. Our students live in a densely urban area where crime rates are higher and graduation rates are much lower than average for our state. Teachers at our school are working hard to keep students engaged in their academics by providing high-quality, meaningful, and applicable learning experiences. In our classroom we study how plants affect our lives in many ways - biologically, culturally, and socio-economically. Our students love learning and studying plants and have showed remarkable interest and enthusiasm for active, engaging projects. Please support us in providing materials for experiments, studies, and reports that help our students to learn in a hands-on way. We believe that education provides our students a path away from poverty and crime, and these support materials help us to pave the way. We appreciate your help and support!
