Each morning during arrival, students work together exploring Stem Bins. The Brain Flakes, Magnatiles, Pipe Cleaners, and IQ builder bins will be used during this time. During our morning meetings, our class learns life skills during "LEAD" time. The literature will not only be read to the students to reinforce character building, and leadership skills, but will be available for students to read during reading centers. Guided Math and Reading rotations include multiple student transitions in and out of the room to see other teachers, and to independent, teacher guided, and cooperative learning activities. During some of these activities, students take assessments or complete indpendent work around the room or at their desks. The doorbell has many different chimes so students can know when to transition to the next activity independently. The privacy partioning folders will help them focus on their work and assessments, and the timers will help during their fluency center time. The stacking stools provide not only more choice for seating during independent reading and work centers, but for small group reading groups with the teacher. The lap desks, wobble stool, and flex-space comfy chair seats will provide choice for students for all cooperative learning and independent activities. And finally, to make the library complete, the colorful bins will organize books by subject and reading level in order for students to easily find books to enjoy.
