This rug will provide a welcoming atmosphere, a place for students to sit and a place to play instruments. It is also a great learning tool for older students. Because of the two staffs on it, we can identify things like lines and spaces and treble and bass clefs more easily because of the large visuals. It will also be a great tool for playing note naming games. The size of the rug and the ability the kids will have to be hands-on will really build their self confidence when reading notes and when they play the recorder. The smaller kids will have a better grasp of the staff when they get older because the rug is so visually stimulating. This rug has many more functions than just to sit on!
