Task Boxes for Little Learners
Funded Nov 18, 2020The resources that you provided to my students, which include three drawer tasks bins, have made a tremendous impact on day to day life of my students. I have a specific class of students who are working very hard at expanding their attention to task and perseverance towards task completion. These bins are used to break down larger tasks into smaller manageable steps or to use three small tasks and allow the student to feel a sense of self-confidence and accomplishment. The lessons they are learning from this technique will last them throughout their educational career. We will continue to use these bins to expand their attention to task and love for learning on a daily basis.”

Funded May 16, 2020Your generous donation has allowed my students to manage materials safely and independently. You have been a part of allowing our preschoolers with special needs access to much needed therapy supplies that can be used both at school or at home if the situation warrants.
I presented the materials to some children for summer learning and others on the first day of school. Each showed delight and excitement for the new materials. Families and parents were appreciative and no longer worried about finding manipulatives for their children participating in virtual and in-person learning.
Each day, my students are able to access their own personalized bag of therapy activities without having to share or worry about cross-contamination. This same bag will allow the freedom to easily ease into remote learning if needed. Thank you for supporting these very special children!”

Funded Dec 3, 2019My students were thrilled to receive the materials provided through generous donations. Our students are from various backgrounds and ability levels. Materials presented have allowed my students greater independence in every day tasks. My students' face lit up when presented with the ability to be a part of the classroom with confidence and independence.
The materials that were donated have allowed our students to to participate calmly in daily activities such as snack time and sitting during group instruction. The adaptive utensils were provided to students who have difficulty feeding themselves independently. The adaptive seating provided has allowed students, who have difficulty sitting still, be able to sit through entire instructional periods without disruption or the need for adult assistance. The weighted blankets have been used by students during times of distress. The soft blankets provide a way for the children to calm and return to class to learn and play with their friends. The gift of comfort and calming is an extraordinary gift to give a preschool student!
Our students will continue to use these donations everyday to gain independence in everyday activities. We have students who were able to feed themselves for the first time and participate in large group activities independently for the first time. We will continue to build these skills throughout our school day using these materials.”
