I'm choosing to have my first project be picture books to teach my students perseverance, curiosity, empathy, peace, confidence, and courage. These books will inspire my students to have conversations and embrace these character traits that will help them to become great leaders!
My school also has a high percentage of students from different countries and backgrounds. I want my students to see themselves and their cultures in these books. I want my students to feel empowered, seen, and relate to experiences in these books!
Through these books we will be setting goals, building a positive classroom community, and instilling character.
