Creative Writing
Funded Jan 26, 2023I am writing to express my deep gratitude for the opportunity to apply for a grant to support kindergarten writing materials in our school. As a teacher, I have seen firsthand the impact that quality writing materials can have on the development of our youngest learners. With your help, we can provide our students with the tools they need to build a strong foundation for their academic success.
Our kindergarten students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, but they all share a desire to learn and explore the world around them. Writing is a critical part of this exploration, as it allows children to express their ideas and emotions in a tangible way. However, without access to quality materials, many students struggle to develop the necessary skills and confidence to become successful writers.
With your support, we can provide our kindergarten classrooms with a range of materials that will help our students develop their writing skills. These materials will include pencils, markers, crayons, paper, and other essential tools that will enable our students to practice their writing skills in a fun and engaging way.
The impact of these materials will be felt not only in our classrooms but also in the wider community. As our students develop their writing skills, they will be better prepared to communicate with others, express their ideas, and pursue their dreams. This will not only benefit the students themselves but will also contribute to a stronger, more vibrant community.
In conclusion, I would like to thank you once again for considering our grant application. With your support, we can provide our students with the tools they need to succeed as writers and learners. I am confident that this investment in our children's education will have a lasting impact on their lives and the world around them.”

This classroom project was brought to life by A Philly Special Christmas and 4 other donors.Kindergarten Learning Centers
Funded Oct 15, 2022Thank you for investing in our classroom. With the new resources, we have created a space for students to use centers as a way of learning and playing. Each table has been sectioned by color so students know how to work independently. Students have been able to connect Uppercase and Lowercase letters using stamps and links. The tweezers, cotton balls, and mini clothes pins have helped the students use a pinch grip for better writing formation. Because of your donations, my class has improved their engagement in activities.
When I introduced the centers to them their eyes lit up. They were so excited to play and ambitious to learn. During centers, the students were able to play independently using individual spaces. There have been minimal distractions and the students have understood the personal space between peers. We have seen students become more focused on fine motor skills.
Our next steps in the classroom are to master letter writing and counting up to 20.”

Our Literacy Learning Process
Funded Jan 10, 2020Thank you so much for your support and for believing in our classroom! The students will really benefit from playdough literacy mats. They love to play with playdough and now will have the opportunity to do it with a goal mind. We are eager for their arrival and we can't wait to start using them. Donors like you make it possible for me to do my job effectively. Thank you for your contribution and for making the world a better place!”
