I'm a 4th-grade teacher. I would love to teach in a classroom that is fun for students. I think tables and chairs make a classroom look more like an office than a place for kids. That's why I would love to have different materials in my classroom to have my students participate in different activities such as practicing math on whiteboards and showing results. I think whiteboards and clipboards will give them more mobility in the classroom so they don’t have to work all the time on the table and we can change activities easily. The markers and whiteboards and clipboards could facilitate flexible seating which could create a kid-friendly environment in the classroom. The goal of this project is to have a dynamic classroom in which kids do not have to sit down the whole day on a table. Students will bring little cushions so they can work on the floor, it could be individually or in groups. The teacher will be checking on students' work and clarifying doubts. On the other hand, students will have enough materials that could last for the complete school year such as markers and tape that are usually used in several activities. These materials would be really useful. I believe kids should receive the best education possible no matter their context. That’s why I’m always looking for possibilities to find resources. I hope you can help.
