Students will be able to use toys to help them imagine, role play and share. This project will focus on the community and world around them. The students can learn about real life by playing with toys. Taking turns, helping each other and getting along will be emphases. Many of these students, being refugees do not have access to toys except through school. Many students’ parents do not buy them toys but rely on tv, video games and computers instead. Legos encourage fine motor skills and imagination. There is no right or wrong when children express themselves through the art of building.
