Science is best learned by doing. As an alternative school, classroom supplies are limited. The materials will be used to perform hands-on labs. I believe this will help students make a connection to what they have read in the textbooks. This project will be a great hands-on experience for my students. Our class will be using these materials throughout the year. This project will involve the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in my class. Students will begin by constructing basic electrical circuits. We will move on to simple electrical motors and electromagnets. Once students have grasp the basics, we will use the materials to learn the scientific method.
