My students love to work collaboratively with their peers around the classroom! My students enjoy sitting at desks, but the furniture in our classroom is not appropriate for grouping. Some of my classes have more than 30 students, and grouping with the current desks with attached chairs is extremely difficult. On many occasions, we have to go outside of our safe classroom to be working in the hallway to be able to have a group activity. My students love cooperative learning and activities like Jigsaw groups. With more flexible seating arrangements, we will have the opportunity to participate in this. They will be more engaged in the second language acquisition process, exchanging ideas, and maximize their learning. I would love to give the students more options for working on tasks around the room. Thus, this project is asking for contemporary desks and chairs. The students learning in a more flexible space would really excite them and enhance their learning environment.
