  • Even More Supplies!

    Funded Aug 7, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my 3rd grade classroom! We have received so many amazing supplies for the upcoming school year that will be utilized daily. From essentials like pencils and paper, to organizational materials like pocket charts and file folders, and a little bit of everything in between, we are ready for the new school year that starts this Thursday, August 31st! Without you, my students wouldn't be able to walk in to a cozy and inviting classroom eager to learn. The projects you funded this summer will have a long lasting impact not only this year, but for years to come!

    Thank you so much.”

  • 3rd Grade Basics

    Funded Jan 14, 2023

Thank you so much for helping our classroom stay organized, engaging, and conducive to quality learning! The classroom basics we received are all thanks to your generosity. We use the colored paper, pencils, sterilize drawers, and all other supplies every single day in our 3rd grade classroom. Students are able to organize their materials easier, which minimizes instructional time lost due to transitions. They are also more engaged with the simple switch of their classwork being on bright, fun paper rather than plain white paper. Thank you so much for your support, it truly means the world to us!”

  • Creating Community Through Read Alouds in 5th Grade

    Funded Aug 26, 2021

Thank you so much for helping me provide my 5th graders with quality read aloud books to enjoy throughout the school year. So far, we have discussed topics like equity, the power of yet, and empathy. We will continue to engage in important conversations sparked by these amazing books.

Although I like to read aloud to my students, we have a special bookshelf in our class library dedicated to read aloud books that students can read on their own during independent reading time if they would like to. It is so heartwarming to see students choosing to read our read alouds before we get to them as a class, or read them again on their own.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. DeMello

These read-aloud books will allow me to facilitate important discussions with my new 5th-grade class during the first few weeks of school and throughout the entire school year. These books will be loved year after year. With these new read-aloud books, my students will be able to participate in meaningful conversations with their peers about equity, kindness, inclusivity, and many other important topics. My students LOVE being read aloud to and gain so much from experiencing a read-aloud with their class. Many of our most meaningful conversations are sparked by books.
