  • Recess Fun!

    Funded Jan 24, 2023

Thank you for the recess equipment and games. The students were playing soccer with a volleyball now they have two cool soccer balls to use at recess. They have a game everyday. The students also enjoy throwing the Nerf football around and have fun playing touch football. The indoor recess games have been a huge hit. They especially like the magnetic games and we even used them during our magnetic science lessons. It is so nice knowing that the kids are spending their recess doing something they enjoy and look forward to recess everyday now.”

  • Headphones are Helpful for Learning

    Funded Dec 19, 2022

Thank you for your donation of headphones for my third grade classroom. My students each have their own iPads and the school provides ear buds for them to use. The earbuds unfortunately do not work well with their little ears so the over the ear head phones you provided for each child have made a huge impact on their learning. They love to listen to audio books which I only allow if they are wearing headphones. Now they don't have to share headphones, so they can listen to the books whenever they have time. Thank you for your generosity and the students love having their own set of headphones.”

  • Making Math Fun

    Funded Jul 23, 2021

Thank you for making math fun. My students who struggle with math are more successful if they can learn through games or hands on experiences. The kits you purchased form my classroom have been a big hit and the kids are enjoying math more and more every day.

When my students first saw all the supplies I wish you could have heard the oohs and awws coming from them. There really is something special about new materials and getting to learn a different way.

Thank you for supporting my students and promoting a love for math.”

  • New books for Reading Centers

    Funded Jun 18, 2021

I had a nice classroom library but the books were not up to date and not the current books that the kids wanted to read. I had the kids create a wishlist of books that I posted on Donorschoose. They were absolutely ecstatic when they opened the boxes of all the books they were wanting to read. It is such a great feeling to see their smiling faces and to watch them look through all the books to decided which one they get to read first. They are even having discussions with other students about what they have read. Thank you for helping my kids develop a lifelong love of reading!”

Thank you for funding my teachers pay teachers gift card. There are lots of great resources on the website that I will be able to use to supplement my current lesson plans. My students like to do projects and experiments, with the gift card I will be able to download lots of activities that they will enjoy.

  • Extra Practice for Struggling Readers

    Funded Apr 1, 2021

My class was so excited when we opened the packages filled with new books. I have a group of avid readers and they had so much fun exploring all of the new titles and books.

I plan to use them for my small group reading instruction time. We will spend a few days to a week on each topic and the students will benefit greatly from having their own book to follow along with. My students seem to do better in a small group setting and your generosity has made that possible.

Thank you for helping my kids grow and continue their love of reading.”

  • Classroom Needs and Wish List

    Funded Apr 1, 2021

My students were so excited when they saw lots of boxes get delivered to my classroom. We had so much fun opening up everything and discovering the treasure inside. Their favorite item is the low table that goes with some small chairs that I previously received. This is a favorite gathering spot in my room. There is room for 4-5 students to sit comfortably around it and work. I have even sat back there for my small group reading and math groups. It is so comfortable.

The books and organizational items are also very much appreciated. Your generosity has made a huge impact in my classroom. The students feel special and are in awe that people helped to make our classroom unique and a great place to learn. Thank you!”

  • Comfy Area to Get Lost in a Book

    Funded Apr 2, 2021

My students actually cheered when I opened the 2 large boxes that the bean bags were in. They are large bean bags and a bright blue color. They are inviting and one of the favorite spots for my students to sit and read. Thank you for helping me bring a nice cozy and comfy place into my room for the kids to enjoy. I now have a designated place where everyone can read quietly.

Thank you for supporting my class and for helping me see this reading area come to life. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!”
