I think these materials will help engage my students in relatable ideas while offering some students different seating opportunities that better fit their learning styles. Many of my current middle schoolers stand and need to move. I think utilizing a standing table option would be a great addition for those students who learn better while standing. I have also requested stools and study carrels. There’s no doubt that these will make a difference for students who need it. Currently it is important for students to stay in their specific area. Unfortunately all desks are the normal generic desks and that is not conducive to all learning styles. I hope that this is the beginning of my classroom transformation to better seating for all learners.
