WANTED: Flexible seating options for my students!

Thank you for the kind donations to help me complete my "Flexible Seating" project! When the chairs were delivered to my classroom, my students' eyes widen with curiosity and the questions started flying! "Are those for our room?", "Can we open them?", "What's in there?" The kids were hilarious! When we opened them up, the kids immediately started claiming their chairs..."I get to use this one third hour!" and then other students started figuring out how we would rearrange the room so the new chairs had homes. In all seriousness though, having the new seating additions for our classroom have really given my students the freedom and personal preference to have a space of their own to work and learn. Thank you again for your generosity!”

After many years as a speech-therapist, I have changed positions and am now a special education teacher and have an entire classroom to furnish! Yikes! Funding is a challenge for classroom items and I was hoping with this program could help! Each of my students are unique and learn in their own individual ways. School is typically an uncomfortable, negative place for my students, so I'd really like provide them a safe and comfortable environment with flexible seating options so they can do their best learning. Over the summer months, our school underwent some big time renovations so I didn't know exactly what types of furniture I would have for my students. A few days before school, I was gifted three new tables! Our wonderful custodian searched high and low for decent chairs to go along with those tables, but wasn't able to get anything new. Please consider funding my flexible seating project! Thank you!
