  • Calming Corner

    Funded Oct 3, 2023

Thank you again for your generous donations. The calming corner is an excellent addition to our school. It adds a space the students can utilize when they become disregulated to calm down and reengage in classes. The headphones allow the student to stay close to the group but not disturb the class at large.

This addition to the class and school has added to trauma informed learning within the class. The students can take time to gather themselves within the class and not have to leave. This allows them to feel less ostracized.

Thank you again for your generous donation. I hope you understand how impactful it is.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Green

  • Technology Support

    Funded Jan 26, 2023

Thank you so much for contributing to out RBI student support. The impact of offering our students technology and academic support has been extremely beneficial for our students. This year, all of our students have started behind in math and literacy, significantly, and have made 3 years of growth in math and 2.1 years of growth in literacy. The impacts of this will continue to help students find interactive ways during class and our intervention period to help develop their academics and comprehension.

Yes, all on paper that sounds great, but how does that look in action? Our students presented in our academic's fair doing their own presentations; by doing research and PowerPoint presentations or experiments. Our students were excited to showcase something they were interested in. The idea actually has catapulted ideas for next year for our students!

A simple gesture of support ahs gifted our students a lot. When we tell our students that we have people who want to donate to their learning, their class, or give their time, it makes an impact on them beyond the classroom as well. They feel cared for, and worthy. Thank you for the impact you have made on my kids.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Green

  • Gym Equipment

    Funded Dec 31, 2022

My students really appreciate the gym equipment. Prior to the donation, we only had basketball as an option. Now my students have more options to choose from.

The weights and the organizer allow the students to learn weight lifting techniques. The students have started going to the gym during their lunch periods to get in extra time on the weights. They are having competitions about who can curl more or who can squat more. It has become a friendly game between them.

Thank you again for giving my students the equipment they need.”

  • Microscope! See It/Understand It!

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution to the project for a microscope for my students.

My students are awesome-funny, unique, and oftentimes overlooked by the educational system because of their past mistakes. But they all yearn for the chance to shine and it's amazing to watch them come out of their shells and actually be successful in school--something many of them have not experienced in a long time, if ever.

These microscopes have had an immense impact on my students in the short time that they have had access to them. For far too many of my students, their education has been peppered with undersupplied schools. Many of my students had never used a microscope in school before, despite the fact that they are high school students. Your generosity has helped to increase the educational horizons and introduce scientific inquiry they would not have otherwise had access too. Not only have they had the opportunity to use the microscope in their science classes on numerous occasions, they have repeatedly asked when we can get them out and use them again.

Thank you again for your generosity. My students deserve every chance to be successful and you have helped me in helping them reach their full potential.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Green

The microscopes and specimens will allow my students to observe and have a deeper understanding of microscopic organisms. It does not matter how well I explain it, being able to observe and compare samples will help give them a more detailed look at organisms. This will not only help in the day to day lesson but will carry over to state Keystone Testing in the spring. Prior to graduation students are required to pass the Biology Keystone. Being able to use and understand the microscope can help them grasp a profound understanding of the material and better prepare them for the test.
