I need bristle blocks, block people, cars and kitchen set to help build my PreK classroom. I am second year teacher changing grade levels and have very few supplies to make my classroom an appropriate environment. I have furniture but not a lot of supplies. My students would benefit from these supplies to help build pretend play skills which are so important in these formative years. I need bristle blocks because they help my young students build skills without realizing they are learning. They are able to use fine motor skills, social skills and turn taking as well as basic math and problem solving skills. I need kitchen manipulatives and block people for dramatic play. Students are able to form many important skills at the housekeeping area. With the people, they will be able to act out scenarios and problem solve. The kitchen area is important for building friendships as well as social skills. Cars are important for a prek claasroom. They are very engaging and motivating and again students are learning without realizing it. Playing with cars gives students an opportunity to practice sharing and taking turns. Cars gives students an opportunity to pretend play and develop science, social emotional and math skills.
