  • Printing Galore!!

    I just want to give thanks to you all for your generosity and for the tremendous help this printer has given my students and me in the classroom. The students have been able to print whatever they need without having to worry about running out of ink. They have printed from essays, picture cards, and science projects to name a few. They love to type their essays or projects to make it look more professional.

    Without any doubt, the printer that you all graciously donated for our classroom has made a great impact in the lives of my students.

  • Incredible Adventure!

    My students got super excited when we received the boxes of books that you generously donated for our classroom. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for contributing to a great cause. With these novels not only do we instill the love of reading for these students, but we teach essential skills needed on their state mandated exams like summarization, inferencing, main idea, character analysis, sequence of events, and point of view to name a few.

    These Land of Stories novels are a series of books that we read every morning in our classroom and constantly review all of the skills mentioned and more. The students love the books because they are based on fairy tales.

    We try to read a chapter or two a day, but sometimes they beg me to continue reading some more because this is how much they enjoy them.

    I can honestly say that my whole class enjoy reading these books and we even share them with other classes to be read and be enjoyed as well.”

Building stamina is greatly needed for my 5th grade students that will be held accountable for passing their state mandated exams (STAAR) in order to be promoted to middle school. Passing these exams is of great concern to them and what a better way to practice these skills with books that they will enjoy. These books are from a series of six, but these two books I am requesting I only have one copy of each.
