Keeping it Clean and Cool in Kindergarten!

My students, co-teacher, and I were thrilled when our project was quickly funded. The timing of it all was perfect because the days were really starting to become warmer - and our classroom was, too!

Simply receiving the large package containing the fan was a HUGE deal to our 5 and 6 year old students. We explained when we would open the box and set up the fan, but it was all our kiddos talked about the entire day.

The fan arrived the week of our school's Career Day. As we read books to learn about different jobs people do, we asked them to think about what jobs they were interested in having when they are adults. One student volunteered that she wants to be a teacher. I asked her to explain why, and she said, "So I can have cool looking fans in my classroom." She was so serious and it really warmed my heart (and made prompted lots of giggles).

We are so appreciative for your support, especially because we won't get a new AC this school year. It helps everyone cool off after recess, dance class, and Phys. Ed.! My co-teacher go a the same fan and we are definitely keeping it cool(er) in Kindergarten!”
