Fifth grade is a transitional year for students as they ready themselves for the rigors of middle school. The work load is more concentrated with longer, more complex reading and writing tasks. Some students are less prepared for the increasing complexity than others, but it is my job to ready students for the challenging curriculum in various ways. The KORE chair is another tool that I plan to use to create a classroom environment that meets the needs of a variety of learners in a comfortable and flexible manner. “The KORE Chair is NOT just a piece of furniture...It's a LIFE-Changer for active kids, kids with ADHD and Autistic kids...Aggressive wobbling on a KORE Chair increases blood flow to the brain and thereby quiets the requirement for fidgety kids to move. Kids learn better and are more productive. The kid who may be considered "un-teachable" is now able to learn!"
