The best way to learn science is to do science and to engage students by making it fun! As a first-year teacher, I have several ideas I’d like to implement: Snap-able circuit boards make it quick and easy to build awesome circuits. Instead of having to deal with wire cutters and bare circuits, students can focus on what the circuits do. They also allow students to connect their circuits together, allowing collaboration. Games make learning memorable and engaging, activating that competitive streak gets students engaged. Games also make the classroom feel like a fun place to be. Lap boards allow students to work together on the math of science, something which many students struggle with. I can have students pass around the lap boards when they are working on a problem—so they can help each other learn!
