  • Science for All!

    Funded Sep 24, 2019

Thank you for all of your support. Through this donation, I was able to provide flexible seating for my students along with the resources I needed around the classroom. My students were especially grateful for the books that were purchased. All of the books had been checked out by students, and many of them chose to read multiple of the books. Students even commented they had no idea of all the different aspects of STEM and careers that can go within the field. They were also surprised about the diversity in STEM and some commented on feeling like there was more hope that they could be successful in the field of stem as well. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Aliakbar

  • Classroom Printer

    Funded Dec 5, 2019

Thank you for your support. With the classroom printer, it was very easy to print materials for all students. Often times, I would use it to print supplementary materials for my English language learners, and since I was also able to print in color, I was able to print colored key vocabulary items to help them learn. I was also able to print new assignments for students who had finished early that needed more of a challenge. My students were thrilled to see that I had a printer, and it was put to good use. Thank you all again.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Aliakbar

This classroom project was brought to life by College Football Playoff Foundation & ACC.
  • Classroom Organization

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donations. I am so appreciative of the organization my classroom will have and the benefit it will serve for my students. I look forward to having my students utilize the new resources we will be receiving such as the earphones for videos and interactive content!”

    With gratitude,

8th grade is critical year for science. Not only do our students take the End of Grade (EOG) assessment here in North Carolina, but they are also on their way to high school, beginning to think about college, and looking into careers in STEM. With these materials, I would be able to capture the attention of my students by providing content in a creative and innovative way. I want to incorporate hands-on learning, engaging science comic books, and flexible seating for my students to have comfortability while engaging with our material. I'm requesting Big Joe Bean Bag Chairs, metal stack stools, and foam chair pads for flexible seating choice. We also need an Essential Oil Diffuser, kitchen timer, masking tape, and pencils. I want to reach all students, especially those not initially interested in STEM, and I know I need to meet them where they are. I envision my classroom to be a fun and diverse setting where all my students flourish into scientists and thrive passionately. I want my students to develop in a space where they are comfortable being in a classroom for 90 minutes at a time. A space where different types of science books spark curiosity and evoke scientific inquiries from students who didn’t think they would ever even enjoy science. A space where my students understand that being scientists means being creative and engaged. And, a space where my students of color and female students feel empowered and confident in their abilities to dive into the STEM world. With your donation, I envision this classroom coming to life!
