These supplies will help us to create a low-tech Makerspace and LEGO wall in the PVMS library. There are many students who sign-up to spend their lunch period in the library, as well as those who come in daily before school and during their Learning Enrichment Period. The students who come to create and let their imaginations run wild need more than worn-out markers and copy paper we have been able to provide. These students are capable of producing great works if provided with the proper supplies. Additionally, the LEGO wall will be used every day by students to create and make LEGO art. The LEGO wall will promote collaboration, creativity, and will include the element of fun that our students desperately need and want. Generous community members have already donated thousands of LEGOs, and now we are ready to take it to the next level with the LEGO wall. The PVMS library is an innovative space for students to collaborate and create. Makerspaces are meant to serve as a place for students to think, create, reflect, and grow. This space will be utilized by all students within the school, but will be especially beneficial to our ELL population who may struggle with expressing themselves through language, but are capable of creating amazing and interesting products. This space will allow students to have fun while also utilizing their critical thinking skills to create a product. Students will be able to take responsibility for their learning, motivating them to become independent and lifelong learners. Your donation will help us to build a LEGO wall and develop the low-tech Makerspace our students desire, and will help take our library to the next level. Thank you so much for your donation!
