These books will be used to create a Native American Fiction Book Study in my classroom. Students will be given the opportunity to pick from current titles to read and discuss with a group of students. This study will help me teach social studies, reading, and writing curriculum because students will also use these books as mentor texts to write their own narratives from Native American perspectives. Many of the books we have available in our library are outdated. These titles appeal to the students in my classroom and will enhance student engagement within the book study.

About my class
