After a year of not seeing students complete work, whiteboards will provide me with a fast visual of students solving math problems. Providing whiteboards for my students support student collaboration. Having the ability to write out problems and quickly make corrections is critical. Incorporating personal whiteboards everyday in my class strengthens students' concept of showing their work and sharing their work with others. Algebra has a lot of graphing, I believe it would be easier and less time-consuming if my students had access to personal whiteboards with graphing grids already drawn, so they do not have to continuously draw them. The boards I have chosen also have blank space for non-graphing questions. Having multiple color markers will help the students see different steps. To limit the students touching all the markers, I plan to organize the markers and erasers in a hanging organizer. Each student will have a number and their materials will be in their designated slot. Working out math problems so you can see the process is essential to learning and retaining what is taught.
