  • Classroom Ink, Yes Please!

    Funded May 10, 2024

This is so exciting for me. My shelves are now stocked with reinforcements that my students fine interesting. I now have a variety of items from which they can choose to earn. My students are often unmotivated by everyday motivators, so I have to have an ever changing variety available to choose from. Thanks to your support, I now do. Already I have had a few students perusing my shelves and making choices that directly impact the quality of their work.

I am also very grateful for the ink. I go through 4-5 a year and this can get very expensive. You are the best!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Scoubes

  • Incentives to get Your Work Done

    Funded Sep 22, 2023

Every day I am able to adjust what incentives I am providing for my students. I can provide it on the spot, which allows for an immediate fix to a problem that might have otherwise overwhelmed them. For instance I have various reinforcers available for my students to choose to earn. My classroom management program depends on reinforcements such as; stickers, small edibles and small toys. They are always working towards something that they have chosen that is reinforcing to them. What will encourage one student to work may not encourage another student to work. So to have a variety available is the best solution.

Thanks to all who have supported my classroom.”

  • Differentiated Resources and Reinforcements

    Funded May 11, 2023

Every day I am able to adjust a worksheet for any student who needs a modification. I can print it on the spot, which allows for an immediate fix to a problem that might overwhelm my students. For instance I had a addition math worksheet with helicopters on it for my 1st grade math class. Out of nowhere, a student decided that he was morally opposed to helicopters and refused to do his work. On the spot, I was able to pull the worksheet up and change the helicopters to dinosaurs. This took care of his concern and he did his work without another complaint. Without a printer right in my room this would have escalated to a serious situation. Thanks to all who have supported my classroom.”

  • New Differentiated Resources: a Click Away!

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

Thank you for donating to this project. With the ink I was able to buy, I can now differentiate a worksheet on the spot. Just today, I was able to alter a math worksheet during a lesson, when one of my students was becoming upset and overwhelmed.

I quickly, at my desk, was able to reprint the worksheet with only 3 math problems required rather than 12. I would have put this student over the edge, even if I explain that they only had to do three, to see a worksheet with 12 problems on it. Because of these resources, my student was able to control their emotions. Thanks Robyn Scoubes”

  • Differentiated Resources and Motivators

    Funded Aug 12, 2022

I am using the resources on a daily basis. A few days ago, we were doing a math lesson using an NBA team's scores as our numbers to subtract. One of my students was not engaged or interested by the activity. I was able to quickly pull it up on Word and do some modifications to make the problem about Minecraft characters. The student immediately participated happily. I can create individual worksheets and lesson for each of my students because of the resources I have here in my classroom, thanks to donors like you.”

With these beginning reader sets of books, my kids will be able to have books on their reading level and become successful readers. I am a first year teacher with a very limited supply of classroom books. I believe every student should have access to a variety of engaging books to spark and ignite their minds. I want to foster a love for reading at this early age and cannot do it without your help to stock the empty shelves with good books. By donating to this project, you will make it possible for these students to have their own classroom library in which they can easily access books to read on their own instructional levels.
