My goal is to provide students with the most exposure to art that I can before they are no longer my students. Sometimes, my class is the only time they get to be creative and learn about self-expression and gaining confidence to be imaginative. My students and I plan to use these supplies to support their desire to be confident in art. The light tables will help them learn technique and ease them into multiple levels of drawing. The loom will teach them to use a new material and show that even though machines help us do a lot nowadays, nothing is like a hand-woven piece of art! And lastly, having books in the classroom will support the fact that literacy is important in every subject because it is everywhere! Even art class! These art supplies will serve to expose all of the students to different techniques, styles, and mediums in art-making.
