Once my students found out that I was a D&D nerd from way back, I explained that it was actually how I got into Theatre. As a Theatre Teacher at MCHSl, I had several students interested in learning more about rolling dice, creating characters, and telling stories. So I'm turning to you -- all of you wonderful strangers out there in the dark. Dice and Books aren't cheap. And these items aren't exactly what you might find on a school shopping list. Luckily many studies have shown the impact of role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons has been a positive one - teaching things like math skills, problems solving, communication, and interaction. Our club will meet during the designated club time of our school day each month. If it is successful, it could branch into after school activities and possibly even some outreach to younger players. Our materials are very basic - I'm not asking for major bells and whistles. Our imagination is the most important tool, after all. Thank you for your help. Now, let's roll up a character and tell a story.
