Thank you so much for donating books to our classroom! Because you donated, there has been an increased interest in reading chapter books. During independent reading time, students self-select books which they think are interesting. I've had students ask to go to the independent reading workstation more often due to this!
Additionally, upon receipt of the books, I decided that we should do a book study. Students are currently reading the mystery novel, The Westing Game. This novel includes challenging vocabulary and concepts, and students are overall very engaged in the reading.
My goal is to create a love for reading. It seems to be working! I am beyond grateful for the role you played in making this happen!”

I am asking that you consider funding my classroom library. My students are overaged middle schoolers. Our focus is sixth grade English and Language Arts. We will achieve! Our goal is for students to read various books in an effort to increase their reading skill and their love for reading. Students will read about topics in which they’re interested versus teacher-selected. Our goal is an all-encompassing library that serves students’ needs.
