I will use these materials to run small group, one to one and independent work activity centers for my children. I can use the kidney table for my small group literacy/math center where my readers will work on leveled readers, comprehension worksheets on stories as a small group, and math skills like addition and subtraction. My children who are working on simple skills like counting and ABC’s will be grouped to work in these skills doing hands on activities. The goal is to create smaller, focused centers to work with students on their specific skill set and level. The round table will be used for 1:1 instruction. For my students who have trouble sitting and need specific attention; I will have myself or a paraprofessional work with these students so they can improve in the core subjects doing hands-on work like matching activities and counting manipulatives. At the same time, they will receive the needed breaks that they would not normally receive in a small or whole group setting. I will use the headphones for my students to work on independent work in listening centers or interactive activities on the computer without distraction. These materials will help me run a smaller, more focused, student-oriented learning environment. Students will be grouped appropriately and teaching will be differentiated in accordance to student needs and level. The goal is to look at children as individuals and give each one of my children what they need. In addition, this will create a more organized work environment for both teachers and students. It will be stress-free and encourage fun learning!
