This project was created with hopes to promote student choice within our classroom though the implementation of flexible seating. As teachers, it is important to know the learners within our classrooms. Having the opportunity to be a teacher for the same students for the second year in a row, I was able to see my students thrive when given the choice of how they wish to work. If my students were given the opportunity to choose one of flexible seating options, I believe that this will be a successful tool in which will help them in creating a comfortable, safe learning environments for themselves. These flexible seating materials will help my students throughout our daily lessons and subject areas in order to support their academic and personal growth while promoting student choice. The students within my classroom all have different needs that I hope to support. These materials will help me support those students who do not necessarily focus sitting in an ordinary classroom chair. Giving my students the chance to make that choice in their learning will help them become active participants in their educational experiences.
