Students will start the morning off creatively by entering the classroom with their ingenuity wheels turning! Instead of giving my students morning work, I plan for them to enter my classroom excited to put their engineering skills to work. These STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) materials will build communication and collaboration skills. Students will work together to create structures where they can test theories and hypothesize different options, dictating their own choices through trial and error! They are given the opportunity to work in groups and build relationships with each other. This provides them with skills of sharing, teamwork, leadership, and flexibility.
