I plan on using these items to support scientific learning opportunities in my classroom. The students will have ability to collect samples from our neighboring natural areas to bring back into the classroom to observe and explore. Specifically, they will be able to choose a habitat and then we will recreate it in the classroom using the terrariums. They will also be able to explore slides of different types of plants and animals and compare them with the samples we take from the river area around our school. Providing rich scientific learning experiences takes tools and resources. Access to these resources can be costly. It is amazing that others are willing to help schools acquire these resources.
