My students struggle in reading. They lack vocabulary and reading books when you have to look up so many words per page to understand the plot can be discouraging. With these Amazon Fire tablets/readers that allow to select a word from the tip of your finger and get that definition quickly, I am hoping that they will engage more and more. I want to make it a class routine and have students read at the beginning of class for 5-10 minutes. Little by little it should get easier for them to read, understand what they are reading about, and hopefully one day, they will enjoy it!
