  • Classroom Store

    Funded Jan 1, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to this project! My whole class was so excited to see the new toys they could purchase at our classroom store. This new toys motivated students to work extra hard and earn classroom money. The whole class loved the pop it bracelets and the bendy pencils. Students continue to work hard and earn class money to spend at store. Classroom store is something they look forward to each month!

The noise cancelling headphones have been a great addition to our classroom. These headphones allow students to work when their are distractions around them. Students are focused and getting their work complete. Students are learning to self-regulate and using different strategies to help them be successful in their learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bradley

  • Becoming Independent Learners!

    Funded Sep 27, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. The headphones have helped with monthly testing. Students are able to focus on their own device and not worry about other sounds getting in the way. Students also use the headphones during centers to help keep distractions low too. The bright colors are fun and brighten up our classroom.

The plastic sleeves have been a life saver. I am able to focus on the concept more then the drawings (ten frames, number bonds, Base Ten Frames, etc.). It also saves paper and can be used multiple times. The pack of 30 plastic sleeve allows every student to have their own sleeve. The sleeve are also easy to clean which helps keep germs down in the classroom.

The tools are my students favorite. We have been working on Toolbox the past few weeks. Students love seeing the different tools in person. It helps build that connection with students and they remember to use their tool to help self-regulate. We have not gone through all the tools yet, but my students are excited to continue learning about toolbox.

Again, thank you for donating to my classroom. My students and I are very grateful for your support. You have helped bring some joy into learning during these crazy times.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bradley

  • Taking Charge of Your Own Learning

    Funded Aug 10, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to my project, it means the world to me and my students. My students love the versatiles and the whisper phones. A lot of my students like to read out loud or think out loud. The whisper phones help student hear themselves and they don't distract peers around them. I have a couple students whose first language isn't English. The whisper phones help them really hear certain sounds when they are reading. I have also seen a boost in confidence in my students when it comes to reading. More and more of my students are wanting to read in front of the class, and I think it is because of the whisper phones. They can hear themselves read and see if they are fluent readers or if they are reading to fast or two slow. They can also hear themselves sound out words when reading. The whisper phones have been a blessing to have in class, and my students love using them.

My students also love the versatiles. I do math and reading stations everyday and make versatiles one of those stations. The first time they used them, we did it as a group, now they are independent and can do it on their own. I love how it makes students independent and take charge of their own learning. Students are allowed to pick the page they want to work on. The workbook gets challenging as you go on. Students are able to pick something at their level and work on mastering that skill. For my higher students, they are able to challenge themselves and find ways to solve them.

Again, thank you so much for your donations. I love the new tools we got and help students be independent learners. Students are using their learner powers and becoming students who take charge of their own learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bradley

My students love to learn hands on. They love to play games related to math and reading. Through playing hands on games, they are learning how to communicate, self-manage and reflect (learner powers). Students are learning so many skills, and they don't even realize they are learning. I have a variety of students in my class, and they all learn in different ways. With the Versa Tiles for reading and math, I hit all different types of learning styles (hands-on, visual, kinetic, etc). These materials will help students grow as learners and individuals. Students will get feedback as soon as they flip their answer case over. The tiles create a picture that match the page they are working on. If the picture doesn't match students can go back and reflect on the missed questions. Students are then learning from their mistakes and taking charge of their own learning. Fluency is something we are always practicing. The whisper phones will help students improve their fluency without distracting students around them. Students will be able to hear themselves read and work on expression and reading rate. Whisper phones also help student hear different sounds more clearly (/v/ and /f/). Some of my students don't like to read out loud, whisper phones can help build confidence in those students. Again, students are taking charge of their own learning.
