It is time to take my class to the next level. The ability range of my math students goes from the very, very smart to those that are lost. When we have a question to answer there are always students that are too shy or lack the confidence to raise their hand. To engage more of these students I teach wirelessly from my tablet so I am not tethered to the front of the class. I can get around and see how the kids are doing. It turns out that this is not enough.
Chromebooks that the kids can do their work on will engage more students and will make doing problems funner!
I project most of my short power point lessons that I have created as a important teaching tool. The master plan is to use these, with Nearpod and the Chromebooks, to make the lessons more interactive. I will be able to remotely and quickly see who is doing the work and who is stuck. The class will use as few or as many Chromebooks as we can afford.
