Need It! Find It! Use It! Return It!
Funded Oct 31, 2024Thank you so much for your donations to my classroom. I can not express how grateful I am for your generosity and support. Being a Title 1 math resource teacher I use math tools (manipulatives) everyday with about 60 kids. The organization of theses tools was in such disarray when I moved into this position, not only did I struggle to find what my students needed but so did they. Now with the new shelves and labeled tubs we can easily find what is needed so we can quickly get to work.
Students are able to quietly come into the classroom, go to their table, see what is needed for their lesson, get the tub or tubs needed and get busy. All this while I am working one to one or with a small group of students. When finished with the materials they clean up putting their tubs back where they belong. Our time together is so much more efficient.
Also, using the labeled tubs are teachers from other grade levels. They are able to come in to the resource room find what is needed, sign it out, and then return when finished.
Being organized makes our learning time so much more enjoyable because we are not constantly wasting time looking for our math tools. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.”

Help With Child Hunger on the Weekend
Funded Mar 30, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness in helping my students that are in need of extra food on the weekends. It fills my heart with such joy to see their faces light up when they see they will have extra goodies on the days when they are not at school. And I know that they are getting something healthier than a candy bar or chips as a snack.
My students were so excited to see the extra snacks in their weekend take home bags. Even the Jr. High students who filled the bags where excited to to fill the bags with extra goodies.
Thank you again for your generosity and kindness. I know that my students are very grateful to you as well. I know I am - and I don't have to worry so much about them being hungry on those days away from school.”

Math Fluency Through Games
Funded Sep 20, 2022Thank you so much for the laminator and laminating sleeves. I have been able to create sturdy games for my students to use in the classroom, after school tutoring program and at home. The heavy duty laminating sleeves allows the games to be used again and again. It also allows the games to be carried home and back to school in backpacks without ruining the games.
My students love the variety of reading and math games that I have been creating for them to (play) learn with. It is exciting when a students asks to take a specific game home again to play with a family member. I have seen academic growth in the students who are playing these games.
Thank you again for the amazing opportunity you have given my students.”

Funded Oct 24, 2019Math Take Home Kits
Funded: December
The "Take Home Math Kits" are a home-run in my fourth graders. The first day the kits could be checked out 16 students check one out! The excitement was overwhelming. I have seen my students confidence grow as they improve their multiplication, addition or subtraction.
Most of my students come from very low income homes, so having these kits available to take home gives them the opportunity to practice math while playing a game with a parent/guardian or sibling. I am able to differentiate the kits based on a student's learning ability. Student and parent responses have been very positive, which for a teacher that is so very exciting.
Thank you again for supporting this project- you have made a tremendous impact on my students!”
