Majority of the students have sensitive sensory input (ADHD, ADD, or autism). The most imperative journey for them is to be able to flourish and succeed in their learning. In order for us to achieve the task, they need the appropriate classroom setting to learn their second language (English). The "regular" deaf students will benefit from the flex classroom setting as well. The deaf students are just like normal teenagers; they need to be given choice to simulate their commitment to learning. There are scarce researches on the success of flex classroom. Nearly all of the research articles provide positive outcomes. The top eight benefits of flex classroom are choice, physical health, comfort, community, collaboration, commitment to learning, communication, sensory input, and fun. Our school has not tried a flex classroom setting, yet. They are using my classroom as a test trial before making a permanent commitment. Therefore, everything has to come from my own pocket or donors. Every cent counts.
