Students at this age need visual examples and guidance so they understand the lesson. The chart paper is for anchor charts to describe the lesson and the colorful markers provide the colorful attention-grabbers they need to keep them focused on the task. The primary journals are for the students to practice tracing letters, numbers and the start of writing complete sentences so that by the end of the school year, my students are confident, capable writers. I want my classroom to be the safe environment where my students can confidently express their thoughts and ideas, but also be guided so that they can do so effectively. Your generous donations give my classroom the ability to do so in the best way possible for them. This way both student, teacher and parents can see the growth progress from day 1 to day 180.
