Books are a great way to start discussions, introduce topics, and explore ideas. At BMSA, our Social Emotional curriculum includes teaching the 7 Habits of Happy Kids in conjunction with the Toolbox Tools. The books from this project will be an integral part of the schoolwide system of teaching and consistently reinforcing social/emotional concepts so critical to student success. These books will be catalogued in the library for any BMSA teacher to check out, but will be specifically suggested for SEL competencies per grade level. Counselors will use these books during lessons, small groups, and with individual students. Special Education teachers will have access to the books for social skills lessons. By giving to this project, donors will help us build a consistently kind and empathetic community of learners where they can learn about themselves and how they fit into making our world a better place.
