Funded Nov 8, 2023Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! The Lakeshore fine motor and STEAM activities are such a hit with my students. All the new activities of course feel like play to the kids, but little do they know how much learning and growth I see in them.
This class has quite a few students who require a lot of creative and extra support, the pincher tools and the games that go with them have really helped strengthen their hands, recognize colors, count, sort and follow directions.
The car ramp and sink/float STEAM resources are so fun to watch the students explore and communicate with each other about. Listening to them talk and problem solve all while encouraging each other is wonderful. I wish we could attach videos of all the action.”

Funded Mar 5, 2021Hello, well a lot changed since this project was funded. I was certain that we would remain completely virtual for the remainder of the school year and that did not happen! Your amazing contributions are still being put to great use, only now I will get to experience some of them in person with some of my students!
Driving around to drop the materials last month was fun, as always! I got to see a few of my students in their front yards and hand them a bag stuffed with so many surprises and learning opportunities.
We are in our Transportation Unit currently so the model trains, cars, and planes were the first item to get used. Students built their objects at home during their independent work time, then shared them with their classmates, some on Zoom and some got to bring them into the classroom! Students also wrote journal entries using their imaginations about where their train/car/plane was traveling to and why. Many parents commented on how fun the activity was for the whole family.
The rest of the materials will be used in our upcoming units and I know they will be equally enjoyable for students, their families and myself. Thank you!”

Our TK Zoom Needs iPad Help!
Funded Sep 16, 2020Thank you so much for helping to fund my iPad project. The iPad allows me to easily share what I am doing with paper and pencil with my students over Zoom, much a like a document camera, only much more seamlessly.
Having the iPad these past 2 weeks we have already painted 3 times, chorally read numerous emergent readers, practice writing letters and drawing shapes. I especially wish I could share pictures of my students smiles while they are painting, because they are adorable, but I cannot get the permission slip signed so that will have to wait.
Distance learning while challenging, has also been great. I miss the comfort and ease of having everything I use in my classroom at my fingertips, but because your help I am able to provide quality learning, hands on experiences and a whole lot of joy!”

Funded Oct 16, 2019Everything is put together and we are enjoying the trampoline and the wobble stools numerous times day! The push activity/game has been out a couple times at our fine motor station and is very popular as well.
The trampoline is something I have wanted for my room for years, but due to the limited space I never thought I'd be able to. Since my classroom furniture update there is space available and a trampoline is the perfect filling. The trampoline is used to allow students to carefully and effectively use their energy throughout the day and the bouncing is said to stimulate their developing brains and allow for better focus.
The stools are activating many muscles as they work in small groups at my table. They are showing signs of better concentration with their journal writing and number talks.
Again, thank you so much. TK is lucky to have all your support!”

Funded Aug 2, 2019Sorry its taken me 27 school days to let you know how amazing your contribution to my class has been! We have been so busy learning, playing and enjoying our new space. The tables, chairs and the cubbies have made my classroom into something I am very proud to welcome new families into. My students have so much more space to be creative and explore. The classroom feels safer and much more developmentally appropriate for my young students. I am beyond grateful for all the support I have received from you all over the years, but this project is by far the most impactful. Thank you.”

Recess Fun for All!
Funded Aug 2, 2018Thank you so much helping make our playground more engaging and fun, thus most importantly much safer! Every day close to two hundred students play on the kindergarten playground 2-3 times, and because of your generous donations they actually have quality equipment to use! I see them creating games and telling stories at the Lego table and taking turns and cheering each other on at basketball. They also enjoy working on their balance and coordination with the stepping stones and cone/ball toss toy. The students are looking forward to the teeter-totter too, but I haven't had a chance to put it together yet since returning for my leave, but I know it will be a big hit!
Thank you again and always for your endless support.”

First Grade Fitness
Funded Oct 31, 2017First of all, please accept my apologies for this letter being late! I thought I had completed it! The PE equipment you helped in providing me has been wonderful and well used a lot this school year. In fact I don't have many pictures because I am enjoying playing with the kids so much, I do not have a hand to take pictures with! My students have always loved PE but with this equipment they are learning new skills, improving their eye-hand coordination and getting a lot of much needed exercise for their young, growing bodies. Thank you again for supporting me in getting this equipment and the wagon for easy, safe storage.”

Funded Aug 21, 2017Thank you so much helping fund this project for my students. The stools, camping chairs, cushions and lap writers are being used multiple times daily.
The stools have been so helpful, prior to their arrival students were having to push their chairs around the classroom in order to work in small groups or at the computers. It was not only a safety concern it was a waste of time. Students are now able move throughout the classroom with much smoother transitions.
Students use the lap writers to play boggle on the rug, it is one of the favorite weekly activities. I am often impressed with how good they are at the game!
Thank you for the continued support and love you show to my classroom and my students every year. I am so grateful.”

Funded Sep 29, 2016Thank you again for donating and helping us purchase the rhythm sticks and CDs. They are being used almost daily and incredibly fun for us all!
I am not necessary musically talented or creative, so I have been watching a lot of youtube videos and rereading the pamphlets and CD inserts to help make sure we making full use of the sticks. I am finding however that the kids do not care how fancy or unique the song it right now, they just like to find the rhythm and tap, rub, hammer, and drum! Tapping the rhythm to "Wheels on the Bus" and doing the actions with the sticks is probably our favorite.
The sticks arrived just before our pattern math unit. They connect so well with math. Children chose colors to represent stick actions (tap-drum-rub-hammer) and then built linker cube patterns using those colors. Later each child was able to lead us in their musical pattern. It was pretty amazing. We have now done this 3 times.
This year continues to be one of the best years ever in my teaching career and it is in part to the continued support I get from people outside of my school campus.
Thank you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Heather Wilcox
