Teaching math virtually was hard, and learning math virtually was even harder. Many students have learned ways to navigate online learning tools, but now they are back in the classroom. I am looking for a way to blend online learning/resources with my in-class instruction through the use of digital notes. My ability to continue to write at the board/projected displays and help students at the same time will be needed more than ever. With an iPad and Apple Pencil, I will be able to take full advantage of the current technologies within my classroom and continue to assist my students in all ways possible. I will be able to project notes and annotate while walking around the classroom. I will be able to record notes for students (both present and absent) and upload them so students can access them whenever they need to. I will be able to further help my students thrive as we continue to integrate technology in our math classroom. I love to be walking around, sitting with students, and monitoring as we are learning and do examples together. Having an iPad and Apple Pencil would allow me to be mobile -- I would not be tied down to my computer to use a document camera or stuck at the whiteboard to add new notes. The ability to have our notes at my fingertips, while projecting to students, would transform the way I teach and my students access instruction.
