I am aiming to fill my classroom with engaging materials that will support the diverse learning needs of my kiddos! My students have autism so having tactile items and hands-on materials such as Fisher-Price Little People playsets, musical instruments and paint will help my students learn to stay engaged during learning. We are a new classroom and a new program to the school so we have very limited supplies for the students. My students are learning to communicate and play with each other. Having these materials will help facilitate that learning. My students are learning to come to table time with the help of engaging activities. Having these materials will help minimize problem behaviors and will support their high sensory needs.
