I have chosen intervention materials to assist my students when they first come into kindergarten struggling with words, phrases, and basic mathematical facts. Working at a Title I school, I always have multiple students in my class who do not speak English and that lack certain materials to succeed. My goal is to provide games to assist them in their learning, but can also help them enjoy learning while having fun. Nowadays school is so data driven and its less fun. I want to utilize these games in my classroom during our exploration period. The students all get a chance to play each of these games together. This will assist with academic success, team building, and help to gain confidence to the students who are struggling, while providing leadership skills to the stronger ones. I also want to provide my students with a colorful and visual classroom. I have also chosen some basic supplies that I need for my classroom and I am just unable to afford this year due to some financial strains.
